A city council contracted SenSen to development a Video Business Intelligence solution that is deployed on patrolling vehicles to optimize the process of parking enforcement, and improve the safety and security of schools and other council administered facilities, with minimal involvement of patrolling enforcement officers.
SenSen delivered first of its kind, fully integrated and highly intelligent robotic solution that reads the license plates of parked vehicles, applies the parking rules for the location and automatically generates appropriate citations, while the ranger simply drives around the relevant areas free to pay required attention to supervise the surroundings. The council has noticed productivity improved of more that 10 times along with marked improvements in the safety of the rangers as well as improving the security of the city facilities.

Accurate, reliable and timely measurement of average speed of the vehicles over a long stretch of road is key to the management of high risk speed violations.
According RTA “Point-to-Point enforcement promotes area-wide suppression of speeding, because speed enforcement is sustained over a length of road rather than just a single spot. Evaluations of Point-to-Point enforcement conducted overseas have shown a 50 per cent reduction in fatal and serious injury crashes after Point-to-Point enforcement was installed.”
SenSen Video Business Intelligence solutions detect vehicles at selected locations, integrate collected information into RTA’s infringement processing platforms to provide needed evidence and auditing trail for effective highly efficient law enforcement by RTA.
The phase one of the deployment is expected to be completed by July 2011.

Australian Software Company, Mercurien Limited and leading provider of Video Business Intelligence Solutions, SenSen Networks Pty Ltd are pleased to announce a Joint Technology Partnership to develop a video identification system for the automated billing of motor vehicles in parking environments. The new system will run at financial grade.
The system will combine video processing technology developed by SenSen, with Mercurien‟s high speed, web based financial transaction processing platform. The end result will permit the automated billing of vehicles in parking environments, without the need for traditional tags, tickets and boom gates, saving operators millions of dollars in capital expenditure, maximising collection rates and reducing costs. Existing car park management systems are based on software and hardware design principles from the pre-web era. Through the implementation of Mercurien‟s detection system and SenSen‟s technology, high volume vehicle transaction based companies have the potential to completely reshape their cost base.
Mercurien will now relocate to a production and deployment facility where it will conduct live refinement of the planned vehicle recognition system that integrates the SenSen technology with Mercurien‟s detection system.

SenSen is set to install SenPark solution for Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) in India.
NCC has been awarded a contract for constructing a hospital in Gulbarga in Karnataka, India. SenPark will keep track of the movement of vehicles in and out of the car park premises. Strategic Customer Win
In 2007, National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council (NMVTRC) formed a strategic partnership with SenSen to trial a new low-cost Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system in a vehicle crime reduction setting with the co-operation of Victoria Police.
The field trials confirmed the technical proficiency of the SenSen system indicating very high levels of read accuracy compared to the currently most commonly deployed system and fewer false alarms against vehicles of interest data.
By using off-the-shelf cameras, the SenSen system represents a significant financial saving over current industry offerings. While the wider deployment of a nationally or regionally networked ANPR capability for Australia will be determined by national and state/territory governments, the SenSen trial demonstrates the undeniable value of a low-cost, high-performance system to detecting criminal activity involving the use of a motor vehicle, including vehicle theft.
